The mission of the Science Museum of Long Island (SMLI) is to:
- Stimulate and nurture children’s natural interest in science and help them to discover the power of science through the fun of science.
- Provide science education through hands-on learning.
- Elevate the level of science literacy.
Towards the mission the Science Museum of Long Island is primarily dedicated to experiential science education for children. SMLI does this by presenting educational program, conducting field explorations, and participating in research.
The mission of the Manhasset Community Fund is to bring needed support and services to the residents of Manhasset through raising funds for the charities that serve the residents of Manhasset. The Manhasset Community Fund also serves, from time to time, as a source of funds for emergencies facing those charities.
